  1. Surya Kumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan continue to have a poor tournament. Yadav and Kishan have scored only 94 runs and 98 runs in their last 7 innings, respectively.

  8. Rahul Tripathi (74*) scored his second half century of this edition. KKR has won both the matches ion which he has scored a half ton. This is the first instance of he having his least interval of matches between two of his fifties (7 innings since his last 50). He has had phases in which he didn’t score a 50 for 16 consecutive innings
  9. Eoin Morgan has had a s similar tournament with the bat as Shubman Gill. He has scored just   runs in this tournament, the lowest among all the captains, the lowest, surprisingly is MS Dhoni of Chennai Super Kings so far.
  10. Jasprit Bumrah claimed three wickets which were the only wickets KKR lost in the match. This performance is his best in this edition
  11. Rahul Tripathi had scored more runs than Venkatesh Iyer, when Venkat got dismissed, despite playing just one additional delivery than Venkatesh at that time.
  12. Venkatesh Iyer scored his first IPL fifty in just his second innings.
  13. Keiron Pollard did not bowl in the match and it is the. This is the third instance in 9 matches in this tournament in which he did not bowl.

Vivo IPL 2021 Match 31 Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Kolkata Knight Riders September 20, 2021 – Statistical Amazers


  1. Varun Chakravarthy opened the bowling, claimed three wickets, was on a hattrick once, claimed a catch and deservedly won the player of the match award.
  2. He now becomes the second Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowler to have claimed 10 wickets along with Andre Russel in this tournament.
  3. KKR’s win with 60 balls to spare is only the fifth in the list of IPL games where a team has won with most balls to spare. This record has been updated for the first time since 2018. This is also KKR’s massive win in terms of balls to spare.
  4. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has now had 6 games with totals below 100, this is also their third against KKR
  5. RCB has now lost their last 4 matches in Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi, all to different teams (Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and now to Kolkata)
  6. Venkatesh Iyer on his debut scored an unbeaten 47 and becomes the second opener in back-to-back games in the IPL re-start to have opened the batting and remaining unbeaten till match completion. Ruturaj Yadsav achieved that for Chennai Super Kings earlier, albeit batting first instead of chasing.
  7. Sunil Narine though bowling economically did not take any wicket. He has now claimed wickets only in the three of the last 10 innings he has bowled.
  8. Shubman Gill (48) failed to make use of an opportunity to score a half century and now it has extended to 10 games now.
