Stamazers – First ODI – India Vs New Zealand (Feb 5, 2020)

  1. Tim Southee had his third most expensive bowling figures of his ODI career of 2-85. Interestingly 5 of his top 7 expensive figures have all been against India, including his most expensive (0-105 in March 2009).
  2. Bumrah was the only Indian bowler to concede less than 60 runs and only bowler from both sides to do so having finished the full quota of 10 overs. Among all the current players who have played from Jan 1 2015 till date, Bumrah is among the only four bowlers with an economy rate of under 4.6(minimum qualification of playing 50+ matches). Rashid Khan (4.16), Mohammed Nabi (4.33) and Cremer (4.54) complete that elite list.

    3. Ross Taylor’s ton is his third in 33 matches against India. His batting average of 46.42 against India almost matches his overall career batting average of 48.48.

    4. Virat Kohli now becomes the batsman Ish Sodhi has dismissed most in his career (thrice) spanning 40 matches so far.
