Vivo IPL 2021 Qualifier 2 Delhi Capitals Vs Kolkata Knight Riders October 13, 2021 – Statistical Amazers

1. Lockie Ferguson (1-26) has been among the wickets in all matches he has played in this IPL so far (7 matches and 13 wickets).
2. Eoin Morgan scored his fourth duck in 15 innings in this tournament. He has scored just 129 runs at an average of 11.73 and at a strike rate below 100 as well.
3. Dinesh Karthik scored his first duck in this IPL and 12^th in his overall IPL career spanning 14 seasons.
4. This is the first finals appearance of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) since they won the tournament in 2014.
5. Avesh Khan finished with 24 wickets and was among the wickets in all but 2 matches in the tournament.
6. For the second consecutive match KKR successfully chased a target in the 130s and making an interesting instance of three different teams scoring in the 130s in the last two matches.
7. This is the first instance in the tournament in which Delhi Capitals (DC) have scored in the 130s (batting first and chasing) and lost the match.
8. Shikhar Dhawan who was the Orange cap holder for majority of the tournament fittingly top scored for DC with 36 runs.
9. Both teams had exactly five bowlers bowling and only one from each side finished wicketless (Narine for KKR and Patel for DC) having bowled their full quota of overs.
10. Venkatesh Iyer finished the tournament with back-to-back fifties, 370 runs overall in the tournament (fourth leading run getter for KKR having played 7 games less than their leading run getter, Shubman Gill).

Vivo IPL 2021 Eliminator 1 Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Kolkata Knight Riders October 11, 2021 – Statistical Amazers

1. Harshal Patel (2-19) is unchallenged for the purple cap with 32 wickets in 15 matches.
2. Virat Kohli’s 39 was the team’s top score as the team scored just 138 runs. Interestingly, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has lost all the matches in which they scored 148 runs or less in this IPL.
3. Kohli’s 39 is his best score in his last 5 innings since his 51 against Mumbai Indians.
4. RCB did not hit any sixes in their innings. The first six of the match was scored in the second over of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) innings by Venkatesh Iyer.
5. Sunil Narine, who had a sub-par tournament so far struck form and picked up 4 wickets, his first four wicket haul of the tournament. He is now eighth in the all-time leading wicket takers list in IPL.
6. Lockie Ferguson (2-30) has been among the wickets in all matches he has played in this IPL so far (6 matches and 12 wickets).
7. This is the fourth instance of Eoin Morgan remaining unbeaten in this tournament and on all those occasions, KKR has successfully chased the target.
8. Mohammed Siraj’s wicket of Sunil Narine and Dinesh Karthik (RCB’s last 2 wickets in IPL 2021) were just his 10th and 11th wickets in 15 matches in this tournament.
9. Karthik was also Siraj’s 50th IPL wicket.
10. RCB has never been to an IPL final since 2016, so their quest for their first IPL tournament win continues.
11. Harshal Patel finished with 32 wickets and is also tied with Dwayne Bravo for all-time record of 32 wickets in a single IPL season.
12. AB de Villiers (11), ever since his unbeaten 75 against Delhi Capitals in April, has scored just 109 runs in 9 innings.

Vivo IPL 2021 Qualifier 1 (N) Delhi Capitals Vs Chennai Super Kings October 10, 2021 – Statistical Amazers

1. Rututaj Gaekwad won his fourth Player of the Match, the most by any player in IPL 2021.
2. The match witnessed as many as four different batsmen scoring half centuries contributing to 65% of Delhi Capitals (DC) team total as much as 76% of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team total.
3. The match also witnessed the other part in which 5 of the 11 batsmen dismissed scoring in single digits.
4. Shardul Thakur, who has never batted higher than number 8 in IPL was sent in to bat at number 4 and managed only a golden duck. His 8-match streak of being among the wickets also came to an end in this match.
5. Deepak Chahar did not claim any wickets in this match and has gone wicketless in 7 of the 14 matches in this IPL, so far.
6. Avesh Khan (1-47) was back among wickets, after having only his second wicketless game in the previous match. He remains the second leading wicket taker in this series with 28 wickets.
7. MS Dhoni’s 18 is his best score in this IPL and he has scored those runs thrice in this IPL. His 114 runs is the least he has scored in any of his 14 IPL seasons, so far.
8. Ruturaj Gaekwad (70) becomes only the second batsman to scope 600 runs in IPL 2021. He needs 24 more runs to take the top spot.
9. Dwayne Bravo is now joint second leading wicket taker in IPL overall with 166 wickets. He needs 5 more wickets to take the top spot.
10. Robin Uthappa’s 63 was his first half century since the 2019 IPL and in innings since then.
11. Prithvi Shaw (60) has now entered the top ten run getters list with 108 runs in his last 2 innings. He needs just 39 runs to get to the 500-run club.
12. Shreyas Iyer has now been dismissed in back-to-back matches against CSK by Josh Hazlewood for single digits (2 and 1).

Vivo IPL 2021 Match 56 Delhi Capitals Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore October 8, 2021 – Statistical Amazers

1. Avesh Khan had just his second wicketless match among the 14 he played in this tournament. He is still however the second leading wicket taker of the tournament with 22 wickets.
2. Harshal Patel (1-34) is running away with the Purple cap with 30 wickets in 14 matches.
3. Yuzvendra Chahal (1-34) has now claimed 12 wickets in 8 matches since the tournament restart in the UAE. In the first leg in India, he had claimed only 4 wickets in 7 matches.
4. AB de Villiers (26), ever since his unbeaten 75 against Delhi Capitals in April, has scored just 98 runs in 8 innings.
5.  Devdutt Padikkal (0) registered his second duck and missed a chance to get past 400 runs in this IPL.
6. Glenn Maxwell (51*) has hit good form with a string of good scores including four half centuries in his last 5 innings. He, however missed to reach the 500 runs tally in this tournament by 2 runs and remains in the top run getters list.
7. Shikhar Dhawan’s 43 is his best in his last 6 innings. He is still among the top 5 run getters in this tournament and in the third position with 544 runs.
8. Virat Kohli has scored just 59 runs in his last 4 innings 
9. Srikar Bharat (78*) scored his first IPL half century and won his first Player of the match award as well.
10. Prithvi Shaw top scored for Delhi Capitals with 48, but he missed a chance to get his third half century in this edition. His score is also his best in UAE (in 5 innings) since the tournament restart.

1. Suryakumar Yadav (82) finally came to the run getting party scoring in just 40 deliveries. He finished the tournament with just 2 fifties, one in match number 2 and one in match number 14.
2. Ishan Kishan (84) continued his return to form with two back-to-back fifties. He also scored the fastest fifty of IPL 2021 so far, f just 16 deliveries, going past his teammate Keiron Pollard.
3. Mumbai Indians now has 3 batsmen in the top 10 fastest fifty list (Ishan Kishan, Keiron Pollard and Suryakumar Yadav).
4.  Jason Holder (4-52) finished his tournament with 16 wickets in 8 matches, including his IPL career best bowling figures in this match.
5. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s streak of 5 successive play-offs appearances in IPL came to an end in this edition.
6. Mumbai Indians have now missed the playoffs only for the fifth time in 14 editions of IPL
7. Jasprit Bumrah continued his streak of being among the wickets in every match since the tournament re-start in the UAE with 15 wickets in his last 7 matches. He has now claimed 21 wickets in the tournament and finished as the third leading wicket taker pee-playoffs.
8. Mumbai Indians’ 235 is the highest total posted by any team in IPL 2021. This is also the second instance in which they scored more than 200 runs in their innings.
9. Two teams, including Mumbai Indians in this match have now scored 220 or more runs against Sun Risers Hyderabad in this IPL. The other team being Rajasthan Royals.
10. Rashid Khan finished the match with an expensive 40 runs of his four overs, but overall, he finished the tournament as the sixth leading wicket taker pee-playoffs and with a miserly economy of 6.69.

1. Shubman Gill (56) followed his first fifty in IPL 2021 (in 13 innings (in the last match with a back-to-back half Century, scored his first fifty in IPL 2021 in his 13th game. This is his ninth IPL 50 as well.
2. Rajasthan Royals (85) could not score even half of what Kolkata Knight Riders (171) scored.
3. Rajasthan Royals (RR) now has the two lowest team totals in IPL 2021, 85 in this match and 90 in an earlier game as well.
4. Rahul Tewatia’s 44 coming to bat at number 7 was the highest score for RR and among the only two batsmen to score in double digits for the team
5. Shivam Mavi (4-21) claimed his IPL career best. Though he has claimed just 20 wickets in the 23 matches he has played so far, he has had a successful IPL 2021 having been among wickets in all but 1 of the 6 matches he played.

1. Ruturaj Gaekwad’s 12 is his lowest score in his lasty 7 innings and has scored just 25 runs in his last 2 innings. He (546 runs) also lost the lead to KL Rahul (626 runs) for the maximum runs in this IPL so far.
2. Faf du Plessis (76) scored a fifty after a gap of 7 innings. He overtook his fellow opening batsman (Ruturaj) as the second leading run getter in this IPL so far.
3. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have now lost three matches in a row for the first time in this IPL.

8. MS Dhoni (12) has scored just 96 runs in 10 innings in this IPL at an average of 13.71.
9. Robin Uthappa (2) playing for his sixth IPL team in 14 seasons has scored just 21 runs in his 2 innings.
10. Arshdeep Singh (2-35) moved into the top 5 wicket takers list with 18 wickets so far in this tournament, tied with CSK’s Shardul Thakur as well.

Vivo IPL 2021 Match 52 Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore October 6, 2021 – Statistical Amazers

1. Harshal Patel, the leading wicket taker in this tournament was among the wickets again (3-33). He has claimed 29 wickets. He has claimed wickets in all but two of the 13 matches he has played in this tournament so far.
2. Kane Williamson (31) overtook Johnny Bairstow as the leading run getter for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in this tournament with 266 runs in 10 innings.  Bairstow however had scored his 248 runs in just 7 innings before pulling out of the tournament.
3. Yuzvendra Chahal (1-27) had claimed only 4 wickets in 7 matches in the first leg in India. Since the restart in the UAE, he has claimed 11 wickets in 6 matches.
4. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1-25) has not claimed more than 1 wicket in any of the 11 matches he has played in this tournament so far. He also has a sub-par tally of just 6 wickets.
5. All SRH bowlers claimed a wicket each in this match.
6. The win is just the third in 13 matches for SRH and they avoid a hattrick of losses.
7. Williamson won his fifth Player of the match award and his first in this edition. This also is his third against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

1. Rajasthan Royals’ team total of 90/9 is the lowest ever posted by a team in IPL 2021
2. Jasprit Bumrah has been among the wickets in every match since the re-start in the UAE with 13 wickets in his last 6 matches. He has now claimed 19 wickets in the tournament and is the third leading wicket taker.
3. Sanju Samson (3) missed an opportunity to get into the 500-run club in this IPL.
4. Evin Lewis was dismissed in the sixth over for 24 with the team total at 41. RR managed to score just 49 runs in their next 14.3 overs with no batsman scoring more than Lewis.
5. Ishan Kishan (50*) scored his first fifty in IPL 2021, in 9 innings. This is also his second fifty in Sharjah. 5 of his 8 scorer of over 50 have been scored in the UAE.
6. Nathan Coulter-Nile (4-14) prior to this match had claimed just 1 wicket in 3 matches. His effort is his IPL career best. He also won his fifth Player of the match award, and his first since the 2017 edition.
7. Ishan Kishan scored his 50 in just 25 deliveries and is now the 12^th fastest and only the second Mumbai Indian batsman (after the topper, Pollard) in that list.

Vivo IPL 2021 Match 50 Chennai Super Kings Vs Delhi Capitals October 4, 2021 – Statistical Amazers

1. Delhi Capitals (DC) has won 4 of its 5 matches in a row, while Chennai Super Kings lost its second consecutive match and the top of the table position to DC as well.
2. Ambati Rayudu (55) was the only batsman from either sides to score more than 40 runs.
3. Shikhar Dhawan (39) became the third batsman to score 500 or more tuns in this IPL.
4. Dwayne Bravo (1-20) has been among wickets in all the matches since the tournament restart in the UAE and has 9 wickets in his last 4 matches and 12 wickets overall in IPL 2021.
