- No batsman from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team scored a 50 in the game, while they scored 166 in total.
- Harbhajan Singh continued to be the only spinner to have started bowling the first over of every game in this IPL. KKR did open the bowling with spin at both ends in today’ s match.
- KKR have now lost 7 of their last 11 IPL matches.
- Glenn Maxwell (78) scored his eight IPL 50 in 85 matches (82 innings) including back to back half tons now. Interestingly those fifties ended his 34 innings drought as his last IPL fifty prior to the last 2 games were in the year 2016.
- Maxwell and De Villiers who shared a 53-run partnership also scored their respective fifties in a similar fashion, Maxwell scored off 28 deliveries, while De Villiers did score his off 27 deliveries. Both are easily in the top 10 fastest fifties in this IPL.
- RCB scored from 100 to 200 in just 7.5 overs.
- RCB has now all their games and top the table so far. Interestingly they have had a poor end to their last campaign losing their last 5 games. This positions them well to win their first ever IPL tournament.

- No batsman from the Mumbai Indians (MI) team scored a 50 in the game, Surya Kumar Yadav still remains the only MI batsman to score a fifty in this IPL edition.
- Mumbai Indians have scored in descending order since the IPL began with totals in their last 3 game being within a tight range of 159, 152 and 150 in that order. Interestingly they won the last two games.
- Jonny Bairstow (43) had his chance to beat the fastest 50 in this edition (By Punjab Kings Deepak Hooda in 20 deliveries) while he reached 40 in just 15 deliveries. He missed both, to beat the record and also to register his 50. He also missed to take the leading run scorer tag by 28 runs, which was a possibility as he was dismissed in the 8th over with SRH needing 84 more runs to win at the stage.
- SRH’s Rashid Khan continued his impressive mean bowling streak of conceding just 22 runs in his 4 overs. He continues to lead the most economical IPL bowlers list all time. Since he didn’t claim any wicket in the game, he is now pushed from third to tenth among the leading wickets takers in this edition.
- Rashid Khan was not the most economical bowler in this game, it was Bumrah with just 14 runs given from his 4 overs. Bumrah (68) has given just 4 more runs than Rashid Khan (64) in their respective 3 matches so far in this IPL.
- MI beat their own dubious record of scoring the slowest 100 runs in IPL 2021. However, they keep winning their games despite that.
- Hardik Pandya (7) is having a poor form with the bat as he has managed just 35 runs in his 3 matches so far in this edition. However, he made his presence in the field by being responsible for two runouts. He has not claimed any catches in this edition as in yet as well.
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar was once again on the expensive side in his last 2 overs in which he gave away 28 runs. He has given away exactly 45 runs in his 4 overs in 2 of his 3 games.
- Rahul Chahar (3-19) continued an impressive week the Chahar cousins are having in this IPL. He has come in to bowl as the fifth or sixth bowler on all the MI games and has claimed 7 wickets (joint highest so far with Harshal Patel) in this edition.
- This game continued the sequence of too many single digit scores in a game (8). The last 4 games have had a combined 33 single digit scores.
- Keiron Pollard (35) ended the streak of West Indian overseas players having a bad week with a 22 ball 35 and earning his 12th Player of the Match award overall in IPL.
