  10. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) winning streak of 4 matches ends with this defeat. Their last win streak of 5 or more matches was in the 2016 edition.
  11.  Deepak Chahar went wicketless in this game and is having a sinusoidal performance in this IPL. He either claims 4 wickets or none in alternate games. He is still the fifth most wicket taker in this tournament.
  12. Yuzvendra Chahal broke his 3-match wicket-less streak prior to this game by getting the first CSK wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad. He is 8th in the all time IPL wicket takers list among active players.

Vivo IPL 2021 Match 18 Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Rajasthan Royals – April 24, 2021 – Statistical Amazers


  1. Rajasthan Royals (RR) won just their second win in this IPL edition and improve to sixth in the table
  2. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)’s loss in the match extends their losing streak in this IPL to 4 matches now. The loss is also their seventh in their last 10 IPL matches.
  3. Mumbai’s Quinton de Kock and Rajasthan’s Manan Vohra (did not pay in this match) are the only opening batsmen who  have scored less than Shubman Gill’s 80 runs in this IPL so far. De Kock and Vohra have both played a match less than Gill.
  4. KKR’s skipper Eoin Morgan hasn’t done better either as he has scored just 45 runs in his 5 innings so far. He was dismissed for a duck without facing a delivery, jst his second in his IPL career. He had just two single digit score in the entire 2020 IPL edition while he has three of them already in this edition excluding a duck in this match.
  5. Chris Morris (4-23) was able to break into the top 4 leading wicket takers list and took a slot between the Chahar cousins with 9 wickets now. Interestingly, he emulated his all time best from his effort in 2015 but on that occasion, he was playing for KKR against RR.

  1. Punjab Kings (PBKS) got back to winning ways after deciding to chase after winning the toss. PBKS has batted first on all their first four matches and won just once prior to this match. They have now won 6 of their last 12 IPL matches.
  2. Ravi Bishnoi (2-21) played his first match in this IPL edition and was among the wickets right away claiming Ishan Kishan’s wicket in the last delivery of his first over.
  3. The match had an interesting coincidence of two PBKS bowlers having the exact bowling record at the end of the game. Mohammed Shami and Ravi Bishnoi both finished with 21 runs and 2 wickets with no maidens.

  9. Rohit Sharma (63) registered his first IPL fifty of this edition after being dismissed in the forties twice in his last 4 matches. He has now scored just two knocks of over fifty in his last 11 IPL innings.
  10. Trent Boult went wicketless for the second straight match. Prior to that, he was among the wickets in 7 consecutive matches in which he has claimed 15 wickets
